  • Dr. Steven D. Paulick

    DVM

    Dr. Steven Paulick has been with VCA for over 20 years. Prior to joining VCA South County in 1995, he practiced at VCA Asher Animal Hospital in Reading. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University. During his time at South County, Dr. Paulick has been very active in the care of sick and injured birds and mammals rescued by Pacific Wildlife Care in Morro Bay. When not working, he enjoys gardening and spending time with family and friends.

  • Dr. Jacques S. Drazsnzak, II

    DVM

    Dr. Drazsnzak grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the foothills of the Ozark mountains. After graduating from Fayetteville High School, he accepted an Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps scholarship to attend the University of Miami in Coral Gables Florida where he graduated with honors with a degree in computer science and mathematics. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and went to intelligence training school for a year in Texas. He served from 1992 until 1998 in several capacities as an Intelligence Officer, earned the Joint Service Commendation Medal, and received an Honorable Discharge. During his service he completed a masters degree in education from George Washington University and attended the University of New Mexico to complete the necessary academic prerequisites for veterinary school. In 1998 he was accepted to Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and moved to San Luis Obispo with his wife Allison, who is also a veterinarian.

  • Dr. Steven Dennis

    DVM

    Dr. Steven Dennis joined VCA South County in May 2005. He is a Santa Barbara native who earned his degree in Molecular Biology from UC Santa Cruz and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2003. His special interests include feline medicine, dentistry and dermatology. Dr. Dennis enjoys outdoor activities including camping, hiking and cycling (sometimes he will ride his bike to get to work). He also enjoys gardening and California native horticulture. For 2 years he practiced in upstate New York in a mixed animal practice. He and his wife have 3 cats named Chi-Chi, Trinity, and Kitty.
